A ZLINE range or rangetop is considered high grate when the measurement from the base of the grate to the top of the grate is 1". The reversible cast iron grill can easily be placed on top of any continuous high grate allowing for a perfect sear on meats and vegetables and the smooth, flat side for morning pancakes. The high quality cast iron distributes heat evenly, while a slight slope allows for grease to move easily to the grease catch on the rib side. The high grate reversible grill comes pre-seasoned and ready to use, though it is recommended to always cook with a light layer of oil to prevent sticking. Clean with a stiff brush and hot water, towel dry, and repeat!
