Simple controls: The Miele Vacuum-Sealing Drawer is so easy and intuitive to use, thanks to a SensorTouch panel underneath the glass. You can access all functions directly – for optimum user convenience. The touch panel is also easy to clean, making it a cinch to look after.

Push2open

Hands full? No problem – press gently on the drawer and it will open straight away thanks to the practical Push2open mechanism. The spring mechanism ensures that the drawer opens wide, making loading and operating easy. The deliberate lack of a handle also ensures that the drawer blends in perfectly with our built-in appliances.

Large useable space

Totally flexible: Use the Miele Vacuum-Sealing Drawer for containers and bags of any size. The generous interior has enough space for all types of food up to a maximum size of 10 " x 14" (250 x 350 mm) and a height of 3" (80 mm) – depending on how much you want to vacuum-seal.

Variable vacuum-sealing duration

Choosing the right vacuum-sealing duration is paramount when storing food perfectly in vacuum-sealing bags or preparing it for sous-vide cooking: You should use setting 1 to seal thin bags and original packaging, for example bags of chips, gently and securely. This means that your foodstuffs will be protected against contamination from other odors or flavors as much as possible. For sous-vide cooking with thicker bags, we recommend setting 3.

Wide range of applications

Whether you want to make your food last longer or divide it into individual portions: Our vacuum-sealing drawer gives you a multitude of options. Vacuum-sealed food stays fresh for longer and is perfectly prepared for sous-vide cooking. If you vacuum-seal marinated meat, you will enjoy a really intense flavor. And it's so practical too: Opened packaging or jars can be resealed just like that.

Fully telescopic runners

The Miele Vacuum Sealing Drawer can be opened all the way thanks to the practical fully telescopic runners. This makes it much easier for you to fill and unload the drawer, so handling is really convenient. The stable telescopic runners mean you can easily take the drawer all the way out and put it back in.

Vacuum-sealing

By extracting air and oxygen, your food is optimally prepared for sous-vide cooking in the steam oven. At the same time, you can portion, store, marinate, or reseal fish, meat, and vegetables particularly well in a vacuum sealing bag. Another advantage: to achieve maximum shelf life, vacuum seal food before freezing – vitamins and flavors are preserved and freezer burn is prevented. You also save a lot of space in your freezer.

Three vacuum settings

Choose from 3 different vacuum settings: You want to gently vacuum-seal soft fruits? Then pick setting 1. For meat, we recommend the highest setting of 3, while setting 2 is ideal for food with a high liquid content. This will afford your food the ultimate protection and ensure you get the best results.

Longer storage life

Fish and vegetables are best stored for a short time in the PerfectFresh zone in the refrigerator – vacuum-sealed food is kept fresh for much longer without losing flavor or quality. In the freezer, vacuum-sealing protects your food against freezer burns and stops flavors and odors from transferring. Bread and rolls also remain fresh for a long time when vacuum-sealed and stored at room temperature.

Portioning

Do you want to keep your groceries as fresh as possible? Spices, cheese, and sausage can be portioned easily using the Miele vacuum sealing drawer. This helps them retain their flavor and they can be enjoyed for longer. Soft cheese in particular stays fresher when it has been vacuum-sealed. Heat up a portion of lasagna easily in a vacuum bag using the steam oven or portion cereal to save space and keep it dry using the vacuum sealing drawer.

Marinating

Particularly strong flavors: marinade meat or fish and then vacuum-seal it using the Miele vacuum sealing drawer. Vacuum-sealing greatly intensifies the taste of the marinade since the flavors do not oxidize. This allows herbs and spices to penetrate the food more intensively – the result is a particularly powerful flavor.

Vacuum sealing in containers

Miele Vacuum Sealing Containers are ideal for pressure-sensitive foods, such as herbs, vegetables, or fruit. Even cold cuts or liquids such as soups or sauces can be conveniently portioned in the containers and kept fresh for longer. Simply attach the filled containers to the special adapter in the vacuum sealing drawer – this will remove the air in the container during the vacuum-sealing process.

Re-sealing

You know how it goes: after an evening in front of the TV you often have opened packets of chips and popcorn that have not been finished. Our vacuum-sealing drawer offers the perfect solution: it gently and securely re-seals the original packaging. This ensures that the food is protected against odor or flavor transfer. Your snacks will taste just as great when you come back to them later.

Sealing jars

Some leftover pesto or baby food in a glass jar can be easily re-sealed in the Miele vacuum sealing drawer and then safely stored. There is no need to use a different container because original glass jars with a maximum height of 3" (8 cm) can easily be vacuum-sealed. Compote, pickled vegetables, cooked food, or even antipasti can also be sealed airtight in preserving jars inside the vacuum-sealing drawer.

Vacuum sealing liquids

Do you have leftover soup? Then simply vacuum-seal it in a bag and keep it fresher for longer. Vacuum-sealed liquids are also a particularly space-efficient when it comes to storing them in the refrigerator. This method is also perfect for marinades and salad dressings. If you want to transport liquids, then storing them inside a vacuum-sealing bag is a particularly secure option.

Preparation for sous-vide cooking

The Miele Vacuum-Sealing Drawer is the perfect way to prepare your food for gentle sous-vide cooking in the Miele Steam Oven. It removes air and oxygen from the vacuum bags containing your food. The bags are then ready to be cooked sous-vide, which is a really gentle method that retains most of the vitamins and nutrients in your food. At the same time, for example, it ensures meat is incredibly succulent and has a robust flavor.
