The WR51X10101 refrigerator defrost heater replaces your single defrost heater and helps the automatic defrost work more efficiently.
There are three main parts to a refrigerator automatic defrost: defrost timer, defrost heater and defrost thermostat. All three of these parts work together to ensure ice buildup doesn't occur inside and outside your refrigerator and freezer.
This part is about 9-inches long and works with the majority of GE's side by side refrigerators, but to ensure an exact fit, search by your appliance model number.
